Dear members of the 2nd, I am requesting your support for the upcoming special election for 2nd Ward Alderman for the City of St. Louis, MO.
As you are aware, this seat has been vacated by Dionne Flowers who has taken a position with the City of St. Louis. There will be a special election on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
In the most resent election held in 2015 against Dionne Flowers, I garnered 38% of the vote with only a month’s campaign a very little funds against a well known Democratic incumbent. This will be a two month campaign, and I have more name recognition than my Democratic opponent as well as the support of Greens, Democrats, Republicans and Independent Citizens. My record as an activist has garnered the support of individuals and groups within among Seniors, Young Adults, Elected Officials, Clergy, Civil Rights, Ferguson Movement and many others. Hundreds of individuals have pledged their support to canvas, phone bank and Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
With your help and that of the local Greens, the MOGP, GPUS and others, it is my estimation that we will WIN this election.
